Questions. The answer lies in those questions

Give this above line to a journalist and I am pretty sure they would agree to this statement. 99% of the times, the answer is within us, around us, its just that we do not pose enough questions. Maybe to prove that we are smart enough and comprehend the unsaid answers, only to find out what was never spoken about, had too much of a gray area. Confusion starts creeping in.

Questions on the other hand is what can unlock any confusion. Its best described by one of my clients. “During the start of the project me along with the team should have asked more questions. That way atleast we would have avoided so much back and forth leading to delays in delivery” – Director, Products, Marriott Digital Services

Questions plays a pivotal role in conversations. 1 good questions and you can ensure the whole room worth $100M is listening to you. (If you’ve not already read, read the story on how Krishna stole the limelight in a conversation being led by a $100M+ business tycoon, a.k.a Prince. If you’ve got sometime, read this one. We still don’t know who Prince is, that’s how well he has been able to conceal himself from the limelight. Yet, there was Krishna, asking a question which made everyone at the table turn towards him. Everyone including Prince. The table must have had more than 20 people. In a private area made especially once Prince whispered something to the manager. It was the evening of 26th December 2025. A cold night in the heart of Manchester. I am still writing this one, Once done, I will hyperlink from here).

Question is what my colleague had asked when he quickly solved a 2 weeks+ dilema for me, in under 10 mins. Question is what my clients ask me, so that I can solve their problem. I have noticed this time and again. Any client who asks questions, genuinely trying to understand, inevitably becomes a long term client. After sometime they feel to become like extended social group.

If we can ask questions to ourselves, it would be a great way to ensure we are having to answer those questions for ourselves. If we practise this method enough number of time, 8 out of 10 times, you would get the answer to a question you have been having for a long time. So give yourselves permissions to ask questions.

Answer are within us, among us. We just need to ask. Question. Learn to do that. Ask.
