I happen to work in the marketing world. The only buzzword we have recently heard is AI, AI, AI and more AI.
Truth be told, its not all that fluff. The way we get our answers have permanently shifted. Through a question answer format. ChatGPT introduced us with that way of communications back in 2022 Nov. Since then all other platforms have shifted or is trying to shift. Provide a conversational way of finding answers.
From that day till now, every marketer out there has an opinion as to how you can rank well on AI.
My way of looking at increasing visibility is by the help of brand marketing. If you’ve not yet read the article on how and why you should use brand marketing as a strategy, do give this article a read. You can find it pretty interesting.
My methodology will involve increasing brand awareness inside the category/industry I am working in. That is what my strategy should be.
With that in mind I am writing down what are the steps I am taking to having my brand name getting increased visibility.
- I am using content as my army infantry
- Few articles will have questions based topics whereas others would be statements. I will measure which content pieces get more visibility
- This page would have great information which any LLM can pick up, since it would house my findings on doing the 90 day experiment.
- But I will not link this mother page on the menu.
- I will provide backlinks to this page from various other articles, but never share this page online on my own voilition.
I will document every small experiment I am doing here. I will also document the various small observations and wins I am noticing as I try to measure my brand visibility.
April 24th 2026 Update
I launch my site, a simple WordPress site, with no SEO plugins. Aim is to put up content on the website (everyday 2 articles). Rest of the contraints of the experiment follows. I did not post anywhere that I have relaunched my website. Just plain and simple putting up human written content. At this point in time, the LLMs are not yet able to identify my website. On searching it is not able to surface the website.
April 29th 2026 Update
I see the initial search impressions coming in. I start showing for keywords which are getting auto-filled by the algorithms. Since I do not have any about me page, with a positioning page, the algorithm is providing me keywords for which my content is showing up for (at this stage it does not matter if I show up in AI mode/ChatGPT or any other places. I was testing if auto-indexing of few pages will happen or not.
As it turns out, it does index.
May 4th 2026 Update
I start noticing Google AI mode answer is catching up the website for Debdutto Banerjee, while ChatGPT is blatantly saying there is no official website
Content Indexing Update – It is very slow. While I have already published 30+ content pieces, through pages, blog articles, it has till now only indexed 3 pages.
Slight upgrade in tactic
Till now I have not reached out to anyone in my network, starting up a conversation wherein the website would be involved. From today onward I may end up starting to network. I will not share my website link specifically, but if someone visits my linkedIn profile and navigates to it, I should be able to understand that.
8th May 2026 Update
None of the pages are yet indexed. Only 2 pages indexed. For what reason. I do not know. May be in should be interesting conversation to understand from Elmer/Stephen, why only 2 pages are indexed and not the others. Trying to first understand from Smeet and others. Chirag and Pratik. The article on questions is being surfaced on search, as that has started seeing some impressions.
I have not yet started reaching out to people in the network. Few creases need to be ironed out first before anything else.
16th May 2026 Update
I checked the impressions number. It is at 88 impressions. The total number of pages that got indexed till now is 7. See screenshot below
I did reactivate my instagram profile. Left a post from that. Have left another reel as a ‘trial’ reel targetting businesses which have a need for clients to visit their location. Beyond that I changed my instagram profile link destination to YouTube.
Till now I was just setting up the bases. Till now I wasn’t yet able to figure out what I would need to sell? After multiple discussions with myself and well wishers, I have finally found the last piece of the digital conversion funnel. A programme for hoteliers curated specially by Debdutto Banerjee. Being a visual storyteller, an avid traveler, a quiet listener and master networker Debdutto’s programme can definitely help you in getting increased visibility for your brand. Brand marketing, that is what my strategy would be. We had already decided that in the story.
18th May 2026 Update
Couple of weeks ago I had asked AI what can be the realistic numbers of my digital marketing efforts. This is what the Google AI had to say. See pictures below
I started this experiment of 2 articles a day on April 24th 2026. Now that we are halfway across May, I have till now published 35 articles. Feedback I got from a few trusted people was about editing. The editing needs to be done on the content for better readability. That needs to be worked upon.
Till now I have got approximately 99 impressions and 5 clicks.
19th May, 2026 Update
ChatGPT still saying there’s no website official website for debdutto banerjee. See screenshot below.
Google has been able to catch the website long back, as I had already written on 4th May, 2026. While experimenting with various searches, I came across a citation source from 2016. Now that I have published more than 50 pieces of content and only 7 have been indexed. Safe to say, with imperical proof, there’s no value of a website, if it is not getting any visibility. The platform on which the website is built, is not automatically ensuring pages/posts(i.e. the content written on website) get indexed and starts showing up in search.
20th May 2026 Update
Starting from today, will slowly start reaching out to connections, trying to spark a conversation. Shared a few article links here and there. Should see a spike in web traffic from organic social. Not a lot, but approximately 10+ by the end of this week.
25th May 2026 Update
Till now ChatGPT isn’t able to catch my website.
Today marks completion of 1 month of relaunching this website. Completed 60 writing pieces on the website in 1 month. Averaging 2 articles a day. I would need to utilise next 30 days to
- Edit the content pieces
- Find out how many more content pieces can be created from these master articles
- Create at least 120 pieces of content over the next 30 days. These content pieces can be anything and everything posted on any platform. It would be great, if a 3rd party also provides a shoutout establishing my credibility. The content pieces can be repurposed pieces from the already written 60 articles.
Proud of myself as I could finish the experiment of 60 articles in 1 month. Initially I had put in a dedicated 2 hours a day to write 70% of these articles. Afterwards in the last couple of weeks, I barely gave a 3 hour slot over a complete week. I used the strategy of front-loading heavy lifting which made the rest of the 1 month experiment on content pipeline easy going.
Next is to scale up this content pipeline.
