Sunday – 25th October 2026

Appreciated the person who was in charge of showing fountain pens at the Oxford Store in Park Street.

Saturday – 24th October 2026

Deeply appreciative of the development in AI. Now I can learn how to use Google Analytics for various use cases. Appreciate the effort that I put into myself throughout the entire of Friday. The idea was to automate as many case studies as possible. The events calendar revenue needs to be showing double the pipeline and revenue before we hit appreciation season (or how they call it in corporate America/india) appraisal.

Wednesday – 21st October 2026

Friends, family and all the close ones around me. Highly appreciative of their presence. How each individual has such a lasting presence in our outlook towards life. Subho Bijoya.

Saturday – 17th October 2026

Family. For a lot of people in our generation who are in their late 30’s living in Kolkata, somehow family came second. First came friends. I’m talking from my own personal experiences. At a point in time same was the case with me. But not anymore. Family takes priority than anyone and anything else. To have a family who is supportive of your actions can make the world feel much more friendly than it is. For many the definition of family is a little skewed. Not getting the kind of support that one is used to seeing from family members in their friends circle question how their parents and family members conduct themselves. While that is 100% true let us try to overlook the circumstances which has put us in a negative thought towards our families. It will be the 1 thing which would be 100% personal to us. Work, friends colleagues will come and go. Family is what remains with us throughout.

Deeply appreciative of my family. Baba, Maa, Dadu, Dida, Thakuma, Wife, Brother and CSB. All of them have showered blessings and love towards me in more ways than one.

After a gap of 15 days coming back to this page. Things have been really busy with respect to work. Couldn’t really get the time to log onto this personal website I curate. Appreciative to be having a handful of friends with whom I have shared the growing up years. The shared memories cherished fondly. Yesterday went to Naktala, to Yudhajit’s house. Got to know so much about the history of a place. Wonderful stories from Surjo, Pakhi and Yudhajit. Today was Shosti, the first day of 2026 Durga Pujo

Appreciated how quickly S.K. from the IT team restored a site which was cancelled as instructed by the client. The client came back and mentioned they do not want to cancel the site but still he jumped on much later than when his shift had ended to help the client out. Also, I was very appreciative off myself since I could find out 2 gaps in the process on the delivery of social media integration through a 3rd party solution.

Tuesday – 29th September 2026

I do not recall any specific incident to which I was appreciative off.

Monday – 28th September 2026

Did not do any work. My wife had a medical emergency. The quick way in which she found which hospital we need to visit was really appreciated. My mom accompanied her to the clinic along with me. In such situations we understand how family is so much important to us. I still remember the story K.A. had naratted about an couple from M.P who had visited a private hospital in Ahmendabad and there was no one they could rely upon since the husband did not have any friends and family in Ahmedabad. The woman was pregnant and had a miscarriage but no one was there to support the couple. All K.A. could do was to be there beside them. K.A. is genuinely a good person from the heart. On he same day I was very appreciative of my immediate team members of R.B, A.R and K.J. All of them unanimously supported me for taking the day off and being with my wife in such an emergency situation.

Sunday – 27th September 2026

Appreciative of having a friend like Yudhajit, who teaches me how to write well. It was his birthday, met him. Also had the chance to meet 2 of his friends. Bidyut and Surjo. Bidhyut is an It professional, working in the field of coding. he is on a career break after getting exhausted from office politics. We chatted a lot about is routine good or bad. Surjo came in later in the evening.

Saturdday – 26th September 2026

Thankful to my my family members. Maa, wife and Biswajit da. My mother had to go somewhere but she allowed me and my wife to take the family car. That helped us go to multiple places all in a single day. Biswajit da since he was driving around the whole city from one corner to the other as we had multiple things to do. Wife because she helped me choose the clothes which I needed to buy. Also greatly appreciative of the fact, since it was her who took all the pain to buy Durga Pujo gifts for everyone in the family. Ananda palit, naktala and Newtown.

Friday – 25th September 2026

Highly appreciated K.A. for his narration of the story of Prince. I am et to find out time and write that story down but it was really great of K.A. that he took the time out and shared that story again with me. So that I do not forget that story, I wrote down pointers in the office notebook.

Multiple reasons for being appreciative towards others and vice versa. My client MI consulted with their SEO team and got alignmnent of the negative SEO impacts that may arise when we perform a particular product enhancement. The CH team appreciated my effort in doing multiple trainings so much so that they invited us to their annual conference.

Monday – 21st September 2026

Grateful and appreciative towards S.J and N.C on how clearly he explained the various engeneering code changes they do to make the product enhancements. None of the other client facing individuals in our company gets to know these in so much details.

Sunday – 20th September 2026

I had to visit a rice reception ceremony in the outskirts of the city. My wife thanked me and appreciated how she likes the fact that I can drive so well.

Saturday – 19th September 2026

Alam bhai at ‘Faltu Tea Shop’ appreciated me for being honest and sending over Rs. 120 which didn’t process on Friday. Every now and then after I finish work I go to this place called “Faltu Tea Stall” to have a couple of milk tea (we call it ‘chai’) and a chicken sandwich. I pay the full amount through UPI. What had happened on Friday after I left when Alam bhai checked the UPI payments he somehow found the payment I had done has not been processed. Today when I went, he enquired, did you give the payment for yesterday, to which I responded yes. I did give. After that he went on to give me the chai and I had my sandwich. He never questioned me because I am a regular customer. He must have thought the error was on the UPI app itself at his end. Yet when I tried doing the payment I could see yesterdays payment had failed. I made 2 payments, one for yesterday and the other one for today. Alam bhai was so glad. He thanked me for being so honest commenting, “aur koi hota toh nahi deta” meaning if it was someone else they might have not given the payment at all.

C.A.V – he is a team member from the paid media team. Thankfully, the management team understood how important it is for someone in the team to start and work more in alignment with US shift timings. That is when C.A.V joined our team. The way he explained few things related to paid media (especially google ads) was so helpful. A client of mine was complaining all the time how we were not able to set up things properly in the website code which was absolutely not true. We were setting everything properly. Yet the paid media consultant was always complaining how the tags are not set up properly. Wanting to understand things better I requested if we could get the read-only access for the paid media accounts. Thankfully the client agreed to it. Upon reviewing the ad account setup C.A.V clearly pointed out why the error were showing. He was very clear in how we should go about showing such misconfiguration errors to client’s paid media consultant. Really appreciated his help.

Monday – 14th September 2026

Appreciate myself since at last I was able to create the short 5 min video explaining how a product (events calendar) need to get enhanced. Have shared the video along with the PPT to other CS team members. Awaiting their final feedback before rolling this out in the product.

Sunday – 13th September 2026

My mother made Biriyani at home. It tasted absolutely delicious. I appreciated her a lot for how well she can cook such delicious meals in such a short amount of time.

Saturday – 12th September 2026

Yesterday I do not remember exactly whom I appreciated specifically.

Friday – 11th September 2026

R.B – The best programming manager I have wored with in Milestone. His organization skills, empathy is what makes R very special to work with. When I asked him about a task which was completed 3 months back (I had to look at the turnaround time for a particular task before I could go back to client) within 2 mins he responded back with the task link along with other details. I did not even need to see the task in the actual project management software. It was given to me in our instant messaging platform we use for internal teams communications. Really a great person to work with. I had also made a small video with him about how he utilizes his 8 hour workday to complete all his tasks. From a managerial perspective he is very empthatetic always ensuring his subordinates are never overworked.

Thursday – 10th September 2026

C.P – The best SEO person I have worked with. We used to run a program worth $65,000 USD ARR and the client was extremely happy with the results we were providing. Today I get to know he has been asked to move away from the program and needs to focus his efforts on more CMS customers. I thouroughly thanked him cause it was a joy working with him. The way he used to find solutions to the various problems (especially operational ones) was extremely good. His pro-active nature and always happy go lucky nature made him a dream team mate to work with. When IO asked him are you leaving the program permanently, he said, “Kya karun. Whenever I come into a program and do very well, I am asked to leave that and do something else”. Bittersweet moment for me. Bitter because I would now need to adjust with some other individual to get on with the work. Sweet because I know he would be given a new challenge which needs his expertise and attention.

Wednesday – 9th September 2026

Appreciated S.J. Product Manager for the Events Calendar who has been very co-operative in taking the customer feedback, working with the engineering team and trying to alliviate the various problems that come along
